Taylortec, Inc. began with the determination of my father, Ben D. Taylor, to invent a new type V work vest for the oil industry in southern Louisiana.

He purchased a sheet of foam rubber made by Uniroyal and together with my mother, worked out a pattern on our dining room table.  Before long he submitted his floatation foam rubber work vest to the United States Coast Guard and received his first of many USCG approvals in early 1964.  He got it right the first time and called it The Seahorse.  We still make the same original 3-piece design, the WV-10, after over 58 years in the buisness.

We now have a manufacturing facility located in Hammond, Louisiana. Taylortec Seahorse products are shipped into every country in the world, but we are proud to maintain that same small, familial feel throughout every aspect of our company, as was born on our dining room table so many years ago.

Taylortec, Inc. is large enough to meet all of your marine safety needs, while also remaining small enough to personally connect with each of our customers.

Thank you for allowing Taylortec, Inc. to meet your marine safety needs.
